I know that song has been remixed by some Jason Derulo into a hip hoppy song, but I think it kills the original. "Hide and Seek" by Imogen Heap is the song that the chorus of "Whatcha Say" is from, but the latter just sucks away the eerie, magical, beauty of the original. The use of the harmonizer is just perfect, giving the listener chills, yet at the same time, butterflies. I just thought I would share.
I could say that life in Liseland is going well, but I would be lying. Our dance show is on Sunday, and the stress that it has been causing me is extreme. I love dance, don't get me wrong, but as junior year of high school just killing me slowly, dance is killing me painfully. I keep thinking though, that once I get on that stage, and showcase what I love to do, all this pain and stress will be worth it.
I have been absent on the fashion scene, as far as runway shows and designers go, but I have been paying attention to a few trends that I do love. Usually, I am not one to follow trends, but this fall, some of the things popping up in stores are intriguing me more than ever. Something about a warm, fuzzy fur vest (faux of course) is so appealing to me. The other day I saw one in H&M and I wanted it so badly, but the line was really long and I was running late for dance, so I could not get it.
My color choices have varied too; I was once a girl who lived for bright and bold colors, but now, I appreciate the beauty of soft, buttery, feminine colors, and also deep, rich, warm, luxurious autumn colors: snowy silver, pale peach, delicate petal, classic nude, refreshing mint, deep cobalt, decadent plum, rich emerald, warm mahogany, chic black, serene forest, olive, and pumpkin.
Well, I must go now, as I have four newspaper articles to write, a vocab quiz to study for, a pig-pen of a room to clean, a birthday card to make, an SAT to register for, homework to finish, and a dance class to go to. Toodles darlings, and take care.
P.S. This wonderful autumn weather is inspiring me to bust out the camera once again. I think it is time I posted some of my own (possibly crappy) photos on here.
