la jolla

Today, since we had off from school, my mom, my brother and I went to the mall, as little bro was wanting some skinny jeans from PacSun. He's becoming this skater/punk/basketball player wannabe, and it is adorable to watch him go frantic over clothes.
He is so sweet, but we butt heads ALL THE TIME. And then, mid punch, we just burst into hysterics, for no reason, and laugh and laugh and laugh till our stomachs ache, and our eyes tear up, and my mom comes in, just to make sure we are breathing.
Anyways, so we went to the mall, and I really liked the Boy Fit jeans at American Eagle, but I didn't get them. I came home empty handed, but I am not too upset because that means I can save up even more to go shopping with my friend "R" at H&M, as we both have gift cards waiting to be spent. Plus, I want to save up a bit more extra money to buy some jodhpurs/drop crotch pants at Zara, the newest member of my favorite stores list.
While we were at the mall, my brother wanted to go inside Hollister, and so I followed him. I sort of wanted to go too, not to buy clothes (I have WAYYY too many graphic t's from that place, and totally regret it...I don't really like wearing them now...but I try to incorporate them into outfits as stylishly as possible, trying to look as much unlike a mall chick as possible...) but just because the smell and the music is captivating. I could just sit in that store forever and ever and ever, sniffing at all the clothes.
Creep? Maybe...shhh
So while the brother and mother were looking for cali-style stuff, I was sniffing through the fragrances...and found "THE ONE(S)." La Jolla, SoCal, and Malaia were the most amazing fragrances ever! You must go to Hollister just to try them out, and you will understand...

Ok, that being said...

FASHION WEEK...!

Some of the collections were disappointing, as a lot of bloggers have already stated, but others were amazing :)

My sad excuses for collages are coming up at the end of the week!

I am so sorry this post was so boring, but I needed to put something up for the week, or else you would have to keep reading about V-day...

Well, I have a chem test to study for...how I hate the subject :(

toodles darlings

p.s. that outfit challenge hasn't been going too well, I got a lot of Audrey Hepburn challenges, but I haven't really started...so I guess that is going down the drain.

p.p.s I might do something similar to Amelia's challenge (<---click, then scroll to bottom of post) though...if that is ok with her...

will you be my valentine?

I had a lot of lurve to share today.

First and foremost, with my family, without whom I wouldn't be able to survive. I love you guys!

Secondly my friends, the worst, the best, and those with whom I have a shaky relationship with...they have all been my friends at some point, and so I love them too.

Third, to all my readers! I lurve you all dearly! Thanks for being so kind and supporting my blog till now.

A month ago, I went to the library and checked out a book called Blushing, and it is so cute! It is basically a compilation of love notes and poems and reading through them makes you...well...blush :)

Here is my favorite from the whole book, it is a love letter:

"Francis Darling,
Have you heard that I love you? I'm not sure that I made it clear to you, and I don't want any misunderstanding. It's such a young love yet -- just nine and a half months old, born November13th 1928 at about nine o'clock in the evening. [...] But tell me something before I leave. I was told tonight on what seemed to me the best authority that you are fond of me. Con you confirm this rumor.
Then there's another problem. As long as I'm thinking about you, I can't go to sleep; and I'd rather think about you than go to sleep; how am I to sleep?

[...] Good night. I've just sent St. Joseph off to watch you on the train; he has promised that he will do his duty like an honest saint.

I do love you.

Ogden"

Happy Valentine's Day!

So tell me what you did for V-Day!
I would love to hear all your stories :)

pilgrim shoes and jumps

Happy Friday the 13th!
Hopefully nobody had an unlucky day :)

Well, my dearies, today for a field trip we went to NYC to the Microsoft Corporation, but that is not the point. The point is, I finally wore something worth an outfit post! YAY!

Lately (midterm, examination season) I haven't been too creative with my outfits (hoodies, t-shirts, jeans, sneakers), so today I decided to wear something fun, and nice (^_^)

Please excuse my bad photography, but I had to take these in a hurry.

This will be a quick post...just outfit pics, only because I want to do something special for Valentine's Day tomorrow

see you tomorrow darlings :)

p.s. thank you all my readers for commenting so much :)

p.p.s but would you also visit my other blog? I need feedback (look at the sidebar ------>
it says VISIT ME HERE TOO!)

what 58 degree weather can do to a girl

I was feeling a bit under the weather, but I still went outside to bike around with some of my little friends. The weather was amazing :) I felt so happy being outside. That was when I realized how much I hated the winter. I know that winter fashion is really cool, especially because of the tights, coats, gloves, scarves, socks, grays, blacks, and all the other wonderful things...but it still doesn't make me happy.
Tights are fun to wear but it is a pain taking them on and off for gym, and because of that pain, I risk being late to classes, another pain.We never get enough time to change, and I already make it dangerously close to the late bell when I am going to chemistry from gym, when I am not wearing tights. I sort of have a reputation for not being tardy, EVER, and I want to keep it up, so the only day I can happily wear tights is Tuesday, lab day, when I don't have gym.
But then the frigid, bone chilling cold hit, and I couldn't leave the house without wearing like 50 pairs of pants...gah.
Then my gloves got holes in them, because my fingers are freakishly long. And then my jacket's hood kept falling off.
And my ears got cold.
And my fingers.
And my toes.

So, bottom line is, I hate the cold. Everything about it.

But then again, the stylish people that are featured on The Sartorialist and Facehunter and Style Slicker make me want to reconsider.

Yet, I can't wait to hear the birds tweeting in the morning on my way to the bus stop.

I am also super excited about the fresh, sweet smell of new grass,

dancing in the rain,

wearing flouncy skirts (with tights on cool days, sans on warm ones),

looking for bunnies in my backyard,
playing in the fog with my best of friends,

having picnics,

and spring break!

I am watching the Grammys as I write this, and Chris Martin's (Coldplay) shirt was WAY too short. But I still love him. Who doesn't?

Anyways, I cannot wait till the spring/summer :)

On another note, I got a sparkly award, originally made by the tea drinking english rose, but passed down to me by Micaela, thank you, and it is wonderful!

In return, I shall pass this down to:

Blair

Marisa (Thumbelina)

Jenna

They deserve it :)

Well, I am off to eat dinner...

fun with poladroid

poladroid -- try it...it is SO much fun!

dear readers,
I shall see you in another two weeks. Midterms are coming up, and all of them are going to be KILLERS.
Keep commenting/emailing about the outfit challenge. Hopefully, by the time I return, the weather shall be nice enough to stop me from wearing three layers of clothing on the bottom, and five on top, and looking like an over sized Indian marshmallow, and let me wear something nice. Then I can actually focus on committing to the challenge, and hopefully come up with something you all like.
I will leave you with a few more photos.
Until then, toodles :)

I wish my bedroom was like that..

ice skating and more

salut mes amis!

I am back with goodies. Well...not really, I just have a few photos to post.

This is an outfit I wore last week with one of my Christmas presents, a UO lace vest thing. It is amazingly soft, comfy, and looks GREAT. I love it. My friends do too -- a plus!

vest -- urban outfitters
gray top -- heritage 1981
pink tank -- pacsun
jeans -- jc penney
socks -- old navy

And the rest are photos I took when I was playing with my dad's camera (the one you see in the picture above).

I am off to go ice-skating, even though I have never ever ever tried it before in my life. Will tell you how it goes :)

toodles

*by the way, thanks to all those wonderful readers who actually suggested a few challenge ideas. I am going to put them down in my notebook, and will tell you what I decide to do. If you have any more ideas, comment away!*

i am alive / inpiration part 2 / challenge me!

pictures found somewhere on the numero korea website

no, i am not dead...well, not technically. school is killing me. so much that i don't even care to capitalize my "i"s at the moment.

oh, and i am thinking of doing an outfit challenge...it will really be a challenge for me especially because my closet is so limited. why, with old, regretful purchases from aeropostale and hollister and abercrombie and so on.

but if you have any ideas for the challenge, comment away!

i really want to do it. it shall be so much fun.

and if you have any specific editorial (preferably not one of evening gowns and glamour. more like something simple, but challenging....i hope you understand) that has any specific outfit (see previous parentheses) that you want to challenge me to recreate, send it to me right away at my email address, which is somewhere in the side bar, you will find it, don't worry -------->

i am super excited to hear from you all!

oh, and don't kill me if i don't recreate a look perfectly. remember that i have a very, VERY, VERY limited closet...

maybe i should do a closet tour to give you an idea.

hmmmm...

toodles ^_^

P. S.
i just want to thank all of my readers for being sho shweet, and showing me so much luuurve, and wishing me luck on all my work. unfortunately, some of that work (more like most of it) did not go as expected, but i am hoping and praying that it turned out good.

thanks!

p.p.s. I am super (with a French accent) disappointed that no one, so far, has commented/emailed me with ideas for the outfit challenge. I really really really want to do it, and would love love love love love it if you suggested stuff :)

please?

hiatus: inspiration part 1 (WARNING! PHOTO HEAVY!!!)

I am not going to have enough time to do proper posts for a while, with midterms, SATs, history term paper, Scarlet Letter Test, music recital practice, and dance recital practice, so until I have free time again, I shall post photo posts...maybe one or two proper ones in between.
